Terribly Lucky Mine Ride

This ride caters for most skill levels, some off road riding experience is required.  We have many options varying in skill level, depending on the groups ability we can do as many or as little technical sections as the group decides.

We set off on our 130km adventure straight into Lake Eildon National park, which hosts some awesome trails and creek crossings. There are many photo opportunities along the run through to lunch, the tracks are a mixture of low lying loamy dirt in the gullies. With steeper rockier trails heading up to altitude, we pass through some Hardwood forests with trees that seem to touch the clouds. Our Lunch destination is on the banks of Running Creek where a cooked meal is served, and a quick dip in the creek recharges the energy. After lunch we explore through the black range state forrest up and down the mountain range leading us down into Lucks All Mine site. This is a massive tunnel style mine that has a warren of tunnels running back into the hill. The last ridge stretches out over 5km with an average of 850m altitude and provides 360 degree views of neighbouring mountain ranges, Toponga creek and Big River. We drop down to river level and arrive at the Bunkhouse, where the open fire is blazing and the showers are running hot. As the sun sets on the hills, we will cook you a delicious Meal around the camp fire and talk stories of the days events.

DAY 2: We start the morning with a coffee and breakfast wrap, cooked to your liking by one of our staff, trying to load you up with some good food ready for another day of Adventure. We make the 90km trip back towards Eildon via Mt Terrible, this offers a sensational view of Mt Bulla, Mansfield and surrounding areas. Take a peek at the old restored hut and fire tower, before setting off to land back in Eildon by early afternoon. On arrival you be presented with a cooked lunch so you can enjoy some good food while you pack up and get organised to make your way home.

WHAT IS PROVIDED:

- Accommodation at the Big River Camp, seperate rooms and bunk style beds available;

- All Meals,  Saturday:  Snacks for backpack, cooked lunch,  cooked dinner (meal varies, steak and veg, chicken and salad depending on season.) Sunday: Snacks for backpacks, Cooked breakfast with tea coffee. Cooked lunch on arrival back at Eildon (meal varies, chicken skewers, gourmet sausages or burgers and salad;

- Includes Soft drink and water with lunches;

- Support vehicle and trailer, with spare parts, tools, spare hire bike, full first aid kit;

- 3 x Support riders, 1 x Lead, 1 x Tail, 1 x mid pack helper allowing us to do breakout tracks to suit different skill levels in the group;

- Fuel after the first tank, including 2 stroke oil; (bring your own if your brand sensitive)

- Camp has toilets/showers,  12v power,  limited 240v power;

WHAT YOU NEED:

- Hold a current motorcycle license;

- Motorcycle must have minimum of Recreational registration;

- Check motorcycle is in good working order;

- Dirt bike with full tank of fuel;

- Sleeping gear, pillow and Towel;

- Small Overnight bag (Not a gear bag), change of clothes for evening, shoes, toiletries, dry sox, gear for day 2; (Overnight bag will go in the support vehicle.)

- Wallet or cash to buy Merchandise from us;

- Hydration pack;

- Have read and agree to out Terms and Conditions;

- A good attitude :)
