ABOUT:
We kick off from Private property at Dixons creek crossing three state forests covering 135km of dirt bike riding heaven, to our destination at Marysville. Starting into Toolangi State Forest, named by the Taungurong tribe Toolangi meaning "Stringy Bark", the landscape is covered by huge Mountain ash trees, soft tree ferns and moss. We pass some history via some old tram tracks dating back to the 1960`s when the area was settled by timber cutters, mills and tram lines to harvest these giant stringy bark trees. We cross Sylvia creek with an option to stop and check out Wirrawilla rainforest via a man made boardwalk, lush with ferns and streams flowing below the walkway. From deep down in the gully we slowly climb up getting some epic views over Mt Dispair, before descending back down to a gourmet lunch on the Murrindindi river.
